Microsoft wants super computer market

Microsoft wants to improve its share of the super computer market and the company has created an effort called the Technical Computing Initiative focused on the field of high-performance computing.

Microsoft has quietly staffed up the group with several hundred employees and is launching a marketing push with a new website touting trends in high-performance computing. Most punters don't need much computer performance but high-performance machines are the key to the design of a lot of everyday products.

Next-gen AMD Fusion in 2015

AMD's initial product based on its Fusion initiative, codenamed Llano, is now sampling with vendors. This first iteration will combine the GPU and CPU on the same die, which will drive down power requirements and costs.
While Llano will be based off of Phenom II technology and will be paired with ATI Radeon GPU design, AMD says that its next-generation Fusion will blur the line between CPU and GPU. That next big change is planned for 2015, Leslie Sobon, vice president of marketing at AMD, told IDG.

Windows 7 Restaurant in Taiwan

When Windows 7 launched, the Windows 7 Whopper selling in Japanese Burger King locations made headlines the world over. Similar to the way a lot of fast food chains capitalize on the launches of highly anticipated Hollywood blockbusters, Burger King
