Intel dual-core Atom netbooks are coming

dual-core Atom processors for netbook systems are currently on Intel's plan table and that we may see a launch later this year.
This well kept-secret was expected to surprise us sometime at a later date this year, but DDR3 supporting 1.83GHz N475 won't be the last of the Atom processors to launch in 2010.

The planned dual-core SKU is clocked at 1.50GHz, is developed on the 45nm process and has a TDP of 8.5W for the CPU and graphics. In comparison, the highest clocked Atom N475 has a 6.5W TDP, equating to a 360MHz higher clock and one less processing core.

Sandy Bridge, the next generation 32nm hybrid-monolithic CPU/GPU processor supports Intel's LGA 1155 socket.this socket is slightly different than LGA 1156 Socket H1. In perspective, Socket LGA1156, or H1, is the socket of choice for all Core 2010 processors - Lynnfield, Clarkdale and second-generation Nehalem.

iPhone 4G/HD

Engadget managed to snag a couple pictures of the next-gen iPhone. The iPhone 4G or the iPhone HD, whatever you like to call it, looks quite good, and despite the fact that we are looking at a demo unit, there is still a lot to see.

In addition to the pictures, Engadget managed to get some additional info regarding the specifications of the device and according to their source, next-gen Apple iPhone will use a higher resolution screen, front-facing camera, higher res camera with flash and has a microSIM slot.

On a similar note, Engadget discovered that they had a picture of next-gen iPhone for quite some time, as is looks like that the device was laying next to the picture of the demo iPad that Engadget snagged two months ago.

US colleges banned iPad

Apple's glorious iPad which is supposed to be the salvation of eduction is being banned from US campus's because its wireless networking is so grim.

The overpriced netbook without a keypad, is having difficulty being accepted at George Washington University and Princeton University because of network stability issues. Cornell University also says it is seeing connectivity problems with the device and is concerned about bandwidth overload.
